1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Scoutr (freelance.heyscoutr.ai), an online marketplace where clients and freelancers find each other, agree contracts and exchange payments. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into binding contracts. You must provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person may hold both a client and a freelancer role.
3. Scoutr's role
Scoutr provides the platform. Contracts for work are agreed directly between client and freelancer; Scoutr is not a party to the work agreement, does not employ freelancers and does not guarantee the quality or outcome of any work.
4. Jobs, proposals and contracts
Clients are responsible for accurate job descriptions. Freelancers are responsible for accurate proposals and for delivering work as agreed. Each contract has one contract currency and one or more milestones.
5. Payments and fees
Payments are processed by Stripe. Scoutr does not hold funds as an escrow agent. Fees are described in the Payments Policy and on the Pricing page and are shown before any payment.
6. Subscriptions
Pro is billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renews automatically until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Free-plan limits may be changed with notice.
7. Content and intellectual property
You keep ownership of content you upload. You grant Scoutr a limited licence to host and display it to operate the service. Ownership of work delivered under a contract is agreed between client and freelancer; unless agreed otherwise, rights transfer to the client when the related milestone is paid and released.
8. Prohibited conduct
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines, including the ban on taking payments off-platform to avoid fees.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, create risk or are required to be closed by law. You can close your account at any time; obligations under active contracts survive closure.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Scoutr is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid to Scoutr in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email before they take effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence.
