Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026. These terms are provided in English; translations are for convenience only.

1. Who we are

Scoutr is the data controller for personal data processed in the service. Contact us through the Contact page for any privacy question.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, password hash or Google sign-in identifier
  • Profile data: photo, headline, bio, skills, languages, rates, portfolio
  • Activity: jobs, proposals, swipes, matches, messages, community posts, comments and likes
  • Contract and payment records: amounts, currencies, statuses, Stripe identifiers (we never store full card numbers)
  • Technical data: device, browser, language and basic usage logs, profile view counts

3. How we use it

To operate the marketplace, match clients and freelancers, process payments and payouts, provide AI assistance, prevent fraud and abuse, provide support and comply with legal obligations.

5. AI features

When you use AI features, the relevant text is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We do not use your content to train third-party models.

6. Sharing

We share data with service providers that help us run Scoutr — hosting, Stripe for payments, and AI processing — under data processing agreements. Your public profile and community posts are visible to others. We do not sell personal data.

7. International transfers

Some providers process data outside the EU/EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Financial records are kept as long as accounting law requires. Deleted content may remain in backups for a limited time.

9. Your rights

You may access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and complain to your data protection authority (in Sweden: IMY).
