How can we help?

Answers to common questions about accounts, jobs, contracts, payments and payouts.

Getting started

Sign up with email or Google, then choose whether you want to hire, work, or both. You can change roles any time in Profile settings.

  • Add a profile photo, headline and skills
  • Upload portfolio work with images or video
  • Set your availability and languages

Posting jobs and applying

Clients post jobs from the dashboard. Freelancers apply with a proposal; the AI co-agent can help draft it. Free accounts can send 5 proposals per month.

Swipe matching

Open Swipe in the dashboard. Clients choose a project and swipe freelancers; freelancers swipe projects. A mutual right swipe creates a match and opens a conversation.

Contracts and milestones

A contract defines milestones, amounts and one contract currency. The freelancer accepts the contract before anything is charged.

Payments

Clients pay each milestone through Stripe Checkout. Supported methods depend on your country and currency and are selected automatically by Stripe. A milestone is funded only once Stripe confirms the payment.

Payouts

Released earnings appear under Earnings. Request a payout there; you'll be notified as it is processed.

Plans and billing

Pro costs $29/month and unlocks unlimited proposals and AI. Manage or cancel under Plan & billing — cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.

Disputes

Open a dispute from the contract page. The milestone is paused while a support specialist reviews the case. See Dispute Resolution for details.

Account and security

Reset your password from the login page. To delete your account or export your data, contact us.

Frequently asked questions

Can I be both a client and a freelancer?

Yes, one account can hold both roles.

Why was my payment not marked as funded?

We wait for Stripe's confirmation. It usually takes seconds; refresh the contract page.

Can I pay outside Scoutr?

No. Moving payments off-platform to avoid fees breaks the Acceptable Use Policy and removes your payment protection.
